A creamy and refreshing Greek tzatziki dip, perfect for serving with pita bread or as a flavorful accompaniment to grilled meats.
Ingredients

- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1½ packed cups cucumber (9 ounces), grated
- 2 tablespoons dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon mint, chopped (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Grate the cucumber using the large holes of a box grater.
- Drain excess liquid from the grated cucumber.
- Mix together the drained cucumber, Greek yogurt, dill, mint, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and salt in a bowl.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Let the tzatziki chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve by spreading on a plate, drizzling with olive oil, and adding fresh herbs or paprika on top.
Notes
Tzatziki can be made a day in advance for optimal flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-5 days.
