- 1 bag frozen chopped spinach (10 oz), thawed and squeezed dry
- 1 block cream cheese (8 oz), softened to room temperature
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but still cold
- 1 egg, for brushing
Instructions
- Combine the softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a mixing bowl until creamy and smooth.
- Squeeze the thawed spinach dry, then add it to the bowl and mix until evenly combined.
- Flour your countertop and roll out the puff pastry sheet into a nice rectangle.
- Spread the spinach mixture over the pastry, leaving one long side empty.
- Roll the pastry tightly into a log.
- Wrap the log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C).
- Slice the log into half-inch rounds and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
Notes
Make-ahead: Can be prepped and stored in the fridge for 24 hours before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days or freeze unbaked for a quick snack later.
