A delightful and moist Spiced Chai Cake infused with warm chai tea flavors, topped with rich brown butter cream cheese frosting.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup chai tea, brewed and cooled
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup brown butter cream cheese frosting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, spices, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the chai tea and milk.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- Soak the cakes with sweet chai milk.
- Frost generously with brown butter cream cheese frosting.
- Serve and enjoy!
