Description

These Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars are a cozy family favorite that combines creamy peanut butter and rich chocolate for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add this to the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread half of the mixture into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of creamy peanut butter over the batter and swirl it in.
  8. Spread the remaining cookie batter over the top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.
