Description

Delightful homemade waffles that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, perfect for any breakfast occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs in another bowl until frothy, then stir in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Grease the waffle iron plates if necessary, then pour enough batter to cover the waffle grid.
  6. Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, about 4-6 minutes.
  7. Remove the waffle and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For the best results, allow the batter to rest for 5-10 minutes before cooking. Store leftover waffles in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
