- 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F)
- 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
Instructions
- Dissolve the yeast in warm water and add sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Mix 3 1/2 cups of flour and salt together in a large bowl. Create a well and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Stir until the mixture forms a sticky dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes, adding flour as needed until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough to release the air, divide it, and roll out to desired thickness.
- Add toppings of your choice and bake at 475°F (245°C) for 12-15 minutes.
