Description

A comforting casserole with layers of creamy, cheesy goodness and wholesome ingredients like beef and potatoes. Perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened and fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Layer the sliced potatoes evenly at the bottom of a greased baking dish, followed by the savory beef mixture.
  5. Spread creamy sour cream over the top, and then sprinkle generously with your shredded cheese of choice.
  6. Cover the dish with foil, and bake for 30 minutes to let those flavors meld together beautifully.
  7. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbling and golden.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
