- 4 medium potatoes, sliced

- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened and fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Layer the sliced potatoes evenly at the bottom of a greased baking dish, followed by the savory beef mixture.
- Spread creamy sour cream over the top, and then sprinkle generously with your shredded cheese of choice.
- Cover the dish with foil, and bake for 30 minutes to let those flavors meld together beautifully.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbling and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
