Description

A hearty and comforting casserole featuring ground turkey, sweet potatoes, and melted cheese, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and garlic, sautéing until softened and fragrant.
  3. Add ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned, seasoning with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Combine the diced sweet potatoes with the cooked turkey mixture in a baking dish. Pour in the chicken broth and mix well.
  5. Top the mixture with shredded cheese.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes; then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the sweet potatoes are tender.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.
