Description
Delicious fish tacos made with tender fish, fresh cabbage, and creamy avocado, all wrapped in soft tortillas.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb white fish (such as cod or tilapia)
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small corn or flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- Fish taco sauce (see below)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or pan over medium-high heat, letting it warm up nicely.
- Combine the cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create a vibrant spice mix.
- Rub the spice mixture generously on both sides of the fish, ensuring every bite will be flavorful.
- Grill or pan-fry the fish for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until it’s cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Warm your tortillas on the grill or in a separate pan until they are just pliable and warm.
- Assemble each taco by placing a piece of fish in the tortilla, topped with crispy shredded cabbage, creamy avocado slices, and a drizzle of fish taco sauce.
- Serve your tacos with lime wedges on the side and garnish with fresh cilantro for a pop of color and flavor.
Notes
Feel free to customize these tacos with your favorite toppings like mango salsa or a spicy cilantro-lime dressing.
