- Italian seasoning

Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until they’re soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the Italian sausage, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the canned tomatoes and sprinkle in the Italian seasoning. Let it simmer gently for about 10 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting to your preference.
- Combine the drained spaghetti with the sauce in the skillet, tossing well to ensure the noodles are coated.
- Serve hot, topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese.
Notes
Make ahead of time by preparing the sauce a day before. You can also swap spaghetti for other pasta shapes, such as penne or fusilli.
