- 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced (substitute with turkey bacon for a vegetarian twist)
- 1 cup broccoli florets, steamed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar)
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: breadcrumbs for topping, fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a casserole dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, steamed broccoli, cream of chicken soup, and milk. Stir until evenly mixed.
- Sprinkle in garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and mix thoroughly.
- Fold in half of the shredded cheese until it melts into the mixture.
- Pour the pasta mix into the greased casserole dish, spreading it evenly. Top with remaining cheese and optional breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Make-ahead by preparing the casserole the night before and refrigerating. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days.
