Description

A comforting Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with smoky kielbasa and creamy cheddar, perfect for chilly evenings and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of frozen cheddar pierogies
  • 1 pound of smoky kielbasa, sliced
  • 2 cups of creamy chicken broth
  • 2 cups of shredded melted cheddar cheese
  • 3 green onions, chopped (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. In your slow cooker, layer half of the frozen cheddar pierogies evenly on the bottom.
  2. Add half of the sliced smoky kielbasa on top of the pierogies.
  3. Sprinkle one cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the kielbasa.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogies, kielbasa, and then top with the last cup of cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour the creamy chicken broth evenly over the entire casserole.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with freshly chopped green onions for a pop of color and flavor.

Notes

Make-ahead friendly: prepare layers the night before and pour broth over in the morning. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
