Description
A creamy and comforting pasta dish with fresh cherry tomatoes and basil, ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta (any shape)
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Cook Your Pasta: Begin by cooking the pasta according to package instructions. Once perfectly al dente, drain and set aside.
- Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, just until fragrant.
- Add the Tomatoes: Toss in the halved cherry tomatoes and cook them until they start to soften, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the Cream: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently to combine all those lovely flavors.
- Melt the Cheese: Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet, stirring until it’s melted and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Combine with Pasta: Now, add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss it with the sauce.
- Mix in Fresh Basil: Remove from heat and stir in the fresh basil.
- Season and Serve: Finally, season with salt and pepper to taste before serving warm.
Notes
Make the sauce a day in advance, reheat, and add fresh basil before serving. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
