- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until bubbly and fragrant.
- Sauté the shrimp along with the Cajun seasoning until shrimp are cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
- Create the sauce by stirring in the heavy cream and tomato sauce; let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, tossing to coat.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, stirring to blend.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of milk or broth.
