Description

A quick and easy weeknight dish that wraps you in rich, creamy flavors with a touch of Cajun spice.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until bubbly and fragrant.
  3. Sauté the shrimp along with the Cajun seasoning until shrimp are cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Create the sauce by stirring in the heavy cream and tomato sauce; let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, tossing to coat.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, stirring to blend.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
