Ingredients

- 3 slices of whole grain or sourdough bread
- 4 slices of turkey bacon
- 4 ounces of sliced turkey breast (deli style)
- 1 cup of crisp romaine or iceberg lettuce
- 1 large, ripe tomato, sliced
- 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise (or your favorite spread)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: avocado slices or cheese of your choice
Instructions
- Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Place on a paper towel to drain excess grease.
- Toast the bread slices until golden and crisp.
- Spread mayonnaise on each slice of toasted bread.
- Assemble the sandwich with turkey bacon, turkey slices, lettuce, and tomato on the first slice of bread, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Add the second slice of bread and repeat layering.
- Finish with the third slice of bread, mayonnaise side down, secure with toothpicks, and cut diagonally for presentation.
- Serve & enjoy the sandwich with crispy chips.
Notes
Make ahead the ingredients but assemble before serving for the best texture. Store leftovers properly and use a serrated knife for clean slicing.
