Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 carrot, finely chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
  • 500g ground beef

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery; sauté until softened.
  2. Increase the heat and add the ground meat, cooking until browned.
  3. Stir in the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Simmer the sauce for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, to let those flavors meld beautifully.
  5. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
