Description

Savor the vibrant flavors of grilled steak marinated in lime and cilantro, served over fluffy rice with avocado.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (flank or sirloin)
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, corn, black beans

Instructions

  1. Mix together the olive oil, lime juice, chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well-combined.
  2. Marinate the steak in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Grill or pan-sear the steak to your desired doneness, about 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  4. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing it.
  5. Place the cooked rice in bowls, topping with sliced steak, avocado, and any additional toppings.
  6. Garnish with extra cilantro and lime wedges for presentation.

Notes

For more robust flavors, marinate the steak overnight. Use aluminum foil for easy clean-up, and leftover steak is great for salads or sandwiches.
