Description

Indulge in creamy Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes, layered with gooey cheeses and rich cream, perfect for chilly evenings and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds russet potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing the baking dish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Combine the sliced potatoes, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  4. Layer half of the potato mixture in the baking dish, followed by half of the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses.
  5. Pour half of the heavy cream over the layer.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheeses, and cream.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use a mandoline slicer for uniformly thin potato slices. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
