- 2 pounds russet potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing the baking dish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Combine the sliced potatoes, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Layer half of the potato mixture in the baking dish, followed by half of the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses.
- Pour half of the heavy cream over the layer.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheeses, and cream.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, use a mandoline slicer for uniformly thin potato slices. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
