Description

A delightful twist on a classic grilled cheese, featuring creamy Brie, juicy figs, and tart apple, perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

  • Sourdough or whole grain bread
  • Brie cheese
  • Fresh figs (sliced)
  • Apple (sliced, preferably tart)
  • Butter
  • Optional: honey or balsamic glaze for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer slices of Brie cheese on the non-buttered side of one slice, followed by fig slices and apple slices.
  4. Drizzle honey or balsamic glaze, if using.
  5. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
  6. Grill the sandwich in the skillet until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side or until the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crunch, add arugula or toasted nuts. Substitute cheese as desired for different flavors.
