- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce, divided
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- Olive oil, for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to a greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
- Brush the edges with olive oil.
- Toss shredded chicken with 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce until well coated.
- Spread the remaining BBQ sauce evenly over the pizza dough.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Distribute BBQ chicken pieces and red onions over the cheese.
- Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle fresh cilantro over the hot pizza.
Notes
You can prepare the BBQ chicken ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days. Let the pizza cool for a couple of minutes before slicing.
