Description

A cozy and delicious BBQ Chicken Pizza, perfect for easy weeknight dinners and gatherings with friends.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce, divided
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Olive oil, for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
  4. Brush the edges with olive oil.
  5. Toss shredded chicken with 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce until well coated.
  6. Spread the remaining BBQ sauce evenly over the pizza dough.
  7. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  8. Distribute BBQ chicken pieces and red onions over the cheese.
  9. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven and sprinkle fresh cilantro over the hot pizza.

Notes

You can prepare the BBQ chicken ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days. Let the pizza cool for a couple of minutes before slicing.
