Description

A delightful dish featuring crispy tofu coated in a sweet and spicy sauce, perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 14 oz firm tofu
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove any excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Mix together the cornstarch with a sprinkle of salt and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes gently in the cornstarch mixture until well coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Drizzle the vegetable oil over the coated tofu and toss gently.
  6. Place the tofu in the air fryer basket and cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  7. Mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and optional sriracha in a separate bowl.
  8. Toss the crispy tofu in the sauce mixture until well coated.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with green onions.

Notes

Adjust the spice level to your liking by varying the amount of sriracha used. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
