Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Crack in the egg and pour in the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the rolled oats, flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
