Description

Delightful Twix Cookies that combine buttery shortbread, sweet caramel, and rich chocolate, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel candies, unwrapped
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each ball.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool slightly, then top each cookie with a piece of caramel and a sprinkle of chocolate chips.
  8. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the caramel is melted.
  9. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the dough ahead of time and refrigerate it for up to 3 days. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze them for longer preservation.
