Description

A warm, gooey cake featuring a luscious cream cheese filling, blended with rich chocolate and sweet strawberries. Perfect for gatherings and cozy nights.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil until well combined. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth, then stir in the chopped strawberries, and optional coconut and nuts.
  4. Spoon the creamy mixture over the batter in the pan, then pour the remaining cake batter on top.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Make a day in advance and store in refrigerator. Use a hot knife for clean cuts.
