Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into oval patties, about 1-inch thick.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly brown the patties on both sides.
  4. Place the browned patties in the slow cooker.
  5. Whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, soy sauce, and mushrooms in a separate bowl.
  6. Pour the creamy mixture over the patties, covering them generously.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until beef is tender.
  8. Serve warm over mashed potatoes or with steamed vegetables, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a cheesier option, top with melted cheese during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Make ahead by preparing and freezing patties for an effortless meal.
