- Lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook chopped turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook ground beef with minced garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Mix in the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cooked turkey bacon, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
- To assemble, layer noodles, beef mixture, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese in a baking dish. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used up, finishing with mozzarella and the remaining Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
For a zesty veggie option, add layers of sautéed zucchini, mushrooms, and spinach. Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing for neat layers.
