A healthy twist on classic burgers, these oven-baked cabbage burgers provide all the comfort of a traditional burger with a rejuvenating crunch.

- 1 small head Cabbage (cut into thick slices)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (for brushing)
- 1 pound Ground Beef or Turkey (or ground chicken or plant-based options)
- 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 large Egg (optional, for binding)
- 1 cup Cheese (for sprinkling on top)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Take your cabbage head and cut it into thick slices.
- Brush both sides of the cabbage slices with olive oil.
- Combine the ground beef or turkey, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and the egg in a large mixing bowl.
- Form the meat mixture into patties.
- Place the meat patties atop the cabbage slices on the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle cheese generously on top of each patty.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes until cooked through.
- Let them cool slightly before enjoying.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
