Description

A comforting and creamy mushroom asiago chicken dish that comes together in just 30 minutes, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 cup Seasoned Flour
  • 8 ounces Mushrooms
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 sprigs Thyme
  • 1/2 cup Dry White Wine
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Asiago Cheese, grated
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge in seasoned flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet, add chicken, and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add remaining butter to the skillet, sauté mushrooms for 3-4 minutes, then add garlic and thyme, stirring for another minute.
  4. Deglaze with white wine, scraping the pan, and let cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Lower the heat, stir in heavy cream, simmer until slightly thickened, then mix in asiago cheese until melted.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and warm through for a minute.
  7. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper and serve warm over pasta, rice, or potatoes.

Notes

Add lemon juice for a citrus twist or incorporate fresh herbs for additional flavor.
