A comforting and creamy mushroom asiago chicken dish that comes together in just 30 minutes, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

- 4 pieces Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 1 cup Seasoned Flour
- 8 ounces Mushrooms
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 sprigs Thyme
- 1/2 cup Dry White Wine
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Asiago Cheese, grated
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge in seasoned flour.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet, add chicken, and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining butter to the skillet, sauté mushrooms for 3-4 minutes, then add garlic and thyme, stirring for another minute.
- Deglaze with white wine, scraping the pan, and let cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Lower the heat, stir in heavy cream, simmer until slightly thickened, then mix in asiago cheese until melted.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and warm through for a minute.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper and serve warm over pasta, rice, or potatoes.
Notes
Add lemon juice for a citrus twist or incorporate fresh herbs for additional flavor.
