Instructions
- Combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a zip-top bag or shallow dish. Add flank steak and coat thoroughly. Refrigerate and marinate for at least 60 minutes, or up to 480 minutes to enhance the flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness.
- Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes after grilling to ensure tender, juicy slices. Once rested, slice thinly against the grain.
- Toss together the cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella balls, and chopped basil in a mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and season with a pinch of salt.
- Arrange the sliced steak and Caprese salad on a serving platter. Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving for a finishing touch.
