Description

A cozy dinner featuring tender steak and crispy baby potatoes, infused with garlic and Italian herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • lbs baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 56 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil: In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Let it get nice and hot.
  2. Cook the potatoes: Toss in the halved or quartered baby potatoes, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sauté until golden and fork-tender, about 15 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Prepare the steak: Season the sirloin steak cubes generously with salt, pepper, and dried Italian herbs.
  4. Sear the steak: In the same pan, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the steak in a single layer, searing for about 2–3 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Add garlic: Reduce the heat to medium-low, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  6. Combine: Return the potatoes to the pan, tossing everything together to combine. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  7. Serve & garnish: Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving hot.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different ingredients such as sweet potatoes or additional herbs.
