- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 head of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and dried thyme.
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook until caramelized, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer, scraping up brown bits from the skillet.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
This dish can be prepared a day in advance and reheated. Use fresh garlic for an even richer flavor.
