Description

A comforting and hearty sandwich featuring turkey, bacon, creamy avocado, and sun-dried tomato mayonnaise.


Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup mayonnaise (divided)
  • 2 ounces sun-dried tomatoes (drained)
  • 2 cloves garlic (or more to taste)
  • 4 slices sourdough bread (or your favorite bread, or use a wrap/tortilla)
  • 6 slices turkey deli meat (divided)
  • 6 slices turkey bacon (cooked)
  • 1 avocado (divided)
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce (divided)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sun-Dried Tomato Mayonnaise: In a small bowl, combine ½ cup of mayonnaise, the drained sun-dried tomatoes, and minced garlic. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  2. Taste and adjust garlic if desired!
  3. Toast Your Bread: If you like it crispy, toast the sourdough slices until golden brown.
  4. Layer the Ingredients: On one slice of toasted bread, spread a generous amount of the sun-dried tomato mayonnaise.
  5. Add the Turkey: Place 2 slices of turkey deli meat on top of the mayo.
  6. Top with Turkey Bacon: Layer 2 slices of cooked turkey bacon on top.
  7. Slice half of the avocado and layer it over the turkey bacon. Add 1 leaf of romaine lettuce.
  8. Repeat the layers with more mayonnaise, remaining turkey, bacon, avocado, and another leaf of lettuce.
  9. Top with the final slice of toasted bread.
  10. Slice your sandwich in half, revealing the layers inside. Serve with extra sun-dried tomato mayonnaise on the side.

Notes

Feel free to customize with other meats or additional veggies for variations. Store leftover sandwiches tightly wrapped for 1-2 days.
