Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3/4 cup sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
  6. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and coat them in sugar.
  7. Place them on ungreased baking pans.
  8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden at the edges.
  9. Cool on wire racks before enjoying!
