Description

A comforting and creamy crockpot casserole featuring cheddar pierogies and kielbasa, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 3 packages of Mrs. T’s cheddar pierogies
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Grease the bottom of your crockpot with cooking spray or olive oil.
  2. Place sliced kielbasa at the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Layer frozen cheddar pierogies evenly over the kielbasa.
  4. Combine cream cheese with 1 cup of chicken broth in a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the pierogies.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining chicken broth over the dish; season with salt and pepper.
  7. Top with a handful of shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  9. Stir gently before serving to mix ingredients.

Notes

Make-ahead friendly; can substitute kielbasa with smoked turkey sausage and chicken broth with vegetable broth.
