Description

Delightful crispy rolls filled with creamy feta and herbs, perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 200g feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or dill), chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 12 tablespoons chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the crumbled feta, ricotta, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper to create a creamy filling.
  3. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush with melted butter. Place a second sheet on top and brush again for added richness.
  4. Cut the layered dough into strips, about 3 inches wide.
  5. Place about a tablespoon of the cheese mixture at the end of each strip.
  6. Roll the phyllo dough tightly around the filling, tucking in the sides as you go to form a neat parcel.
  7. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush the tops with more melted butter for that golden finish.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the rolls are golden and crispy.
  9. While they’re baking, heat honey in a small saucepan with chili flakes until warm.
  10. Drizzle the spicy honey over the rolls right before serving. Enjoy!
