Description

A delightful fusion of creamy cheesecake and warm cinnamon sugar, capturing the comfort of churros in a luscious dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • Two 8-ounce packages refrigerated crescent roll dough or sheets
  • 16 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine ½ cup granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon.
  3. Open the packages of crescent roll dough and unroll them onto a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, pressing them together to form a crust.
  4. Pour half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the dough.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat together 16 ounces of softened cream cheese, ¾ cup granulated sugar, 1 large egg, and 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract until creamy and smooth.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the first layer of dough.
  7. Unroll the second package of crescent roll dough on top and press to seal the edges.
  8. Drizzle the melted butter over the top layer and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture generously on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool slightly before slicing into squares.

Notes

Can be prepared a day in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
