Description

Delightful cookies with a creamy cheesecake base and gooey chocolate chips, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until creamy and well combined.
  3. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, and continue to beat until fluffy and smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Don’t overmix!
  7. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, giving each one enough space to spread.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown and the cookies look set.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor, try nuts, dried fruit, or seasonal spices. The dough can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 3 days.
