- 2 lbs chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pita bread or flatbreads, for serving
- Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles, for garnish
Instructions
- Combine garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cayenne, yogurt, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Preheat your grill or oven. Cook the marinated chicken until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes on each side on the grill, or 20-25 minutes in the oven at 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the chicken into tender strips.
- Serve wrapped in pita bread or flatbreads topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles, drizzled with garlic sauce.
Notes
For best results, marinate overnight to enhance flavors. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
