This easy pulled chicken recipe is perfect for busy weeknights, offering a sweet, tender flavor that can be enjoyed in sandwiches, tacos, or on its own.

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, with fat trimmed off
- 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup Italian dressing
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Spray the inside of a large crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, then place them in the bottom of your crockpot.
- Add the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts, making sure they’re well coated.
- Cook on high for 150-180 minutes or low for 300-360 minutes.
- Check that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Shred the chicken using two forks in the crockpot to soak up the flavor.
- Serve on buns or enjoy with your choice of sides.
Notes
This BBQ chicken can be prepared a day in advance and stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Freezes well for up to 3 months.
